Strasbourg Brass Quintet is a French
chamber music ensemble comprised of five
professional musicians. Since their days at the
"Conservatoire National de Musique de
Strasbourg," the five artists have shared a
common concept of musical aesthetic. Today, this
mutual perception of music has brought them
together once again in this exceptional ensemble.
The originality of the Strasbourg Brass Quintet
lies in its utilization of the bass trombone as a
low register instrument. This decision allows for
a naturally balanced sonority and expansive
polyphonic transparency at the heart of the brass
quintet.
